Trainee Recruitment Consultant

Micron Recruitment specialise in Engineering and Manufacturing Recruitment across the UK, we support our clients with Permanent and Contract recruitment.

You will be working in a unique environment where detailed information is required but pace and speed are critical and we operate in a competitive environment resourcing skilled professionals in a skills shortage market, pace and speed are critical.

We are looking for someone from recruitment, telesales, car sales or business development, you will be given support and training from the start from our experienced team.  We have big growth plans over the coming years, you will have the opportunity for clear progression and development as we start appointing further Managers, Team Leaders and Industry specialists

As a Recruitment Consultant you will complete the following tasks;

  • Databases searches, matching candidates to vacancy criteria
  • Conduction initial telephone interviews to assess candidates suitability for vacancies
  • Searching UK job boards for candidates (CV Library, Jobsite, Total Jobs, Reed, LinkedIn..)
  • Supporting and guiding candidate through an interview process
  • Business development / building your own client base
  • Supporting Consultants with searches
  • Building relationships with candidates (Listening to their needs and matching them to the right jobs)
  • Managing candidate interview availability
  • Arranging interviews for candidates
  • Reference checking candidates
  • Advertising client jobs
  • Managing client relationships
  • Building and bringing in new business
  • Completing the recruitment process from start to finish
  • Sending terms of business agreements
  • Generate and identify new leads
  • Cold calls and telephone business development
  • Client meetings (Face to Face)
  • Updating client and candidate records
  • Working towards a KPI and Turnover target

Skills you will need to do the job:

  • Good telephone manner
  • Confidence (You will be talking to people all day on the phone)
  • A can-do attitude
  • Honesty, reliability and a good work ethic
  • Time management skills (You will need to be able to multi-task)
  • Ambitious (We are growing and want people to progress throughout the business)
  • IT Literate (Word, Excel and Internet Searching)
  • Commutation skills (Face to Face and Telephone)
  • Recruitment, Sales or Business Development background
