We are currently looking to recruit a Tooling & Maintenance Engineer, as Tooling & Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for Tooling Maintenance & repairs as well as machinery, plant and site-based maintenance & repairs
 
 
Duties and responsibilities as a Tooling & Maintenance Engineer:
  • Carry out day to day Pneumatics/Mechanical and Electrical PPM activities on machinery, based on monthly schedule.
  • Ensure rapid response on all machinery breakdowns, fault finding the cause and implement rectification.
  • Capture and record all tooling maintenance work completed.
  • Identify poor performing tooling and provide an improvement plan/capital replacement justification.
  • Keep line management and team up to date with tooling issues.
  • Work closely with the Production and Maintenance team to implement tooling improvement ideas.
  • Capture and record all required KPI information.
  • Prepare purchase requisitions for low critical tooling spares.
  • Liaise with Ancillaries Department re: maintenance and tooling activities.
  • Undertake tasks/activities as and when required by the Engineering Manager.
  • Work alongside external contractors as and when required.
  • Assist in building tooling and maintenance activities, and project and process activities as and when required.
  • Attend training courses relevant to process and machinery.
 
 
Experience required:
  • Proven experience within a similar role in a manufacturing environment, including mechanical, pneumatics, electrical experience;
  • Ability to work well in a team environment;
  • Proven experience of working with manufacturing equipment;
  • Ability to work under pressure, and prioritise effectively to support own workload and that of the team;
  • Willingness to learn new skills;
 
 
This position is easily commutable from Derby, Chesterfield, Ripley, Alfreton Sheffield
