Quality Engineer

We are currently working with an established manufacturing company based in the High Wycombe area, that are looking to recruit a Quality Engineer to join their team. They supply into industries such as aerospace and automotive

This position is permanent, you will be working a day’s shift in return for a salary in the region of £28,000 - £34,000 depending on experience. You will receive an excellent employment package with genuine progression opportunities within a growing business.

As a Quality Engineer your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in the process, development and approval of all products sourced by the company including helping in resolving customer and supplier quality issues.
  • Overseeing and conducting inspection of incoming and outgoing product together with preparing the relevant documentation.
  • Coordinate the inspection team and the Measuring Centre of Excellence
  • Assisting the business in resolving product quality issues with customers and suppliers
  • Instigating and updating corrective action reports
  • Reviewing technical drawings
  • Product testing and analysis  sample approval
  • Assisting in APQP process  contract review, feasibility studies
  • Improve quality of purchased parts through liaison with Sales and Purchasing and directly with suppliers
  • Support the different departments within the Group on product quality matters
  • Liaising with customers to improve customer satisfaction
  • Support customer visits to improve relationships
  • Final inspection of outgoing product
  • PPAP and FAIR submission, update and maintaining records.
  • Ensuring the gauge and quarantine registers are kept up to date
  • Identifying training needs and providing training to quality inspectors
  • Following procedures for all quality standards ISO 9001 & AS 9120 latest revisions
  • Carrying out duties that may be required and agreed
  • Ensuring a high standard of housekeeping, cleanliness across the group to prevent contamination or damage to products or equipment
  • Participating and supporting the yearly stock takes
  • Flexibility to travel between the different sites required

As a Quality Engineer you will have the following experience and knowledge:

  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
  • Driving licence required
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment desirable
  • Experience of working within the aerospace or automotive sectors
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS 9120 standards


This position is easily commutable from Watford, Oxford, London and Reading
