We are currently looking to recruit a Production Planner for a leading consumer products manufacturer based near Nuneaton.  Working in an extremely busy manufacturing plant, you will be primarily responsible for creating and maintaining production plans to ensure effective production performance.
Key duties and responsibilities:
  • Creating and maintaining the productions schedule on a day-to-day basis
  • Creating production plans for production machinery
    • Using Sage 50 operating systems
  • Liaising with the Engineering team to decide how capacity demands can be achieved whilst releasing machines for crew care or any other necessary repairs
  • Responsibility for stock takes
  • Ensuring optimised and accurate inventory levels for all suppliers
  • Ensure stock levels are readily available and accurate
  • Adhere to appropriate processes and procedures
  • Liaising with customers, suppliers, and distributors
  • Scheduling and overseeing the supply and delivery of material’s and products
  • Understand and manage risks to minimise impact on production schedule
  • Take follow up actions in relation to material shortages that affect production
  • Minimise obsolete stock and ensure business is left with minimum liability
  • Create regular statistical reports and analysis to update others within the organisation
  • Ideally you will have working knowledge of a manufacturing environment with a proven track record of performing at a high level in a time pressured, fast paced environment
  • Previous experience within a planning/scheduler type role is desirable
  • Experience of ordering factory consumables and knowledge of the Sage 50 system would be advantageous
