We are currently looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer for a pharmaceutical manufacturing company, that’s expanding their team.
The main purpose of the role is to ensure efficient daily running of the onsite machinery using planned and reactive maintenance techniques.
Duties and responsibilities as a Maintenance Engineer:
  • Support the installation of the equipment going into the new factory extension
  • Trouble shooting within the plant and processes
  • Supporting our planned preventative system to ensure maintenance is carried out 
  • Ensure all contractors’ information is reviewed and ‘permits to work’ are issued
  • Identifying and delivering improvements in overall equipment efficiencies
  • Providing input and support to gross margin improvement and cost reduction initiatives
  • Ensure all contractors’ information is reviewed and permits work are issued prior to work being carried out
  • Site Facilities management
  • Be conversant with and adopt the procedures stated in the Quality, Environmental Management System (QEMS) Manual and its supporting documents
  • Carry out the responsibilities stated in the Managing Director’s Health & Safety Policy
Experience / Qualifications required:
  • HNC level or above in mechanical/electrical/chemical engineering
  • NVQ Level 3 in mechanical/electrical/chemical engineering
  • Time served Engineering Apprenticeship
This position is easily commutable from Caerphilly, Pontyclun, Cardiff, Newport and Pontypridd
