  • Organisation of all aspects of the maintenance department, work allocation, safe working practices and management of all Company assets and recording of all planned and unplanned activities on CMMS and downtime logs
  • Rapid response to all breakdowns, or imminent failures that could affect quality or production and recording downtime
  • Use root cause analysis to prevent recurrence of failures, document and write new procedures to aid prevention, use problem solving techniques and action plans, 8 D’s and 5 Why’s
  • Learn the MP2 process for planned maintenance scheduling, predictive maintenance, spares management, work order history
  • Assist in collecting equipment technical data, critical spares, suppliers, and vendors and ensure detail is easily accessible
  • Achieve 100% scheduled accomplishment of PM’s issued, with task and instruction review for improvement
  • Management and control of improvement projects in line with uptime efficiencies to DOS standards. Drive KPI projects, analyse, collect data, and provide monthly reports.
  • Update team boards
  • Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained to 5 S standards and the weekly target is achieved. Perform weekly audits and drive actions.
  • Work with the H & S team to ensure all tasks have a robust risk assessment and safe system of work. Assist with the total control of contractors, H & S approval, method statements, risk assessments, inductions, permits to work and monitoring.
  • Assist with the organisation of all spare parts and ensure that robust systems are in place for their documentation, storage, usage, cost, and availability.
  • Development of team skills.
  • To assist with identifying areas for improvement, coaching and knowledge sharing with all team members.
  • Completion of all on the job training forms and sign off.
  • Assist with both planned and unplanned absence to ensure cover is controlled and documented.
  • Formal apprenticeship within an electrical/mechanical environment
  • Fully conversant with process and machine systems
  • Ability to write technical reports and to work with the complete shift team
  • Ability to work under pressure as well as listen and follow strict guidelines where applicable
  • Good hand-eye co-ordination and understanding of quality procedures
  • You will be required to undertake manual handling, in line with current H&S guidelines
  • Strong attention span with a good eye for detail
