Key duties would include:
  • Management of site facilities including the building, services, maintenance, and power
  • Management of waste disposal
  • Management of the Engineering, Maintenance & Ancillary team and function, and responsibility for all on-site contractors
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence
  • Develops evaluation criteria that will serve to measure progress and effectiveness of departmental operations
  • Plans and formulates engineering programme and organises project staff according to project requirements
  • Coordinates all customer and internal engineering changes
  • Approve all tool process sheets, any changes to part, manufacturing process cost, material / process standards and packaging
  • Liaise with vendors for plant projects and equipment purchase for projects
  • Work on process improvements to reduce cost of materials
  • Reporting of KPIs
  • Coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plan to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical services
  • Direct, review and approve new product / equipment design and changes
  • Monitors progress against project schedules and budgets; recommends allocation of resources as required to accomplish goals
  • Drive continuous improvement of processes, quality, and cost to maintain profitability and competitiveness
  • Setting up new bill of materials, and manages changes to bill of materials
 
 
Requirements:
  • ​​​​​​Minimum HND/HNC in Engineering or equivalent qualifications in facilities management
  • Proficient in interpreting CAD drawings for electrical, mechanical and facilities applications
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an engineering capacity in a manufacturing facility
  • Experience of contract negotiations and day to day dealing with external services/contractors
